Nilpeter FA-17 Upgrade doubles production capacity

Natalii, one of Poland’s leading label manufacturers, recently upgraded its Nilpeter FA-17 UV LED flexo press to increase production speed and efficiency. This investment reflects Natalii’s ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality label solutions and maintaining a competitive edge in the market.
Since its establishment in 1985, Natalii has built a strong reputation in the Polish label industry. Focusing on innovation and quality, the company has become a trusted partner for businesses in key sectors such as food processing, cosmetics, automotive, and pharmaceuticals. Today, many of their products are exported to other EU countries.
Nilpeter and Natalii have enjoyed a close collaboration for many years. Their oldest Nilpeter press, the FA-2500, was installed in 2000 and is still in use. Currently, Natalii operates 10 Nilpeter flexo presses.

The primary goal of the recent upgrade was to increase the operating speed of the FA-17 press, which previously ran at 50-55 meters per minute for this specific shrink label application. By integrating an additional drying unit, the machine is now equipped with two drying units, facilitating more efficient and rapid drying of water-based adhesives and varnishes. Following the upgrade, the end customer approved new shrink label prints at a speed of 120 m/min, confirming precise positioning and effective drying of the water-based adhesive on plastic cups. This enhancement required meticulous modifications, including extending the machine, reconfiguring the entire piping system, upgrading electrical panels, and adapting the existing UV system. Despite the complexity of these tasks, a dedicated team of three Nilpeter technicians from Denmark completed the project within a week.
Additionally, Natalii’s FA-17 machine, being the tenth of its type produced, received a comprehensive software update. This update to the latest Nilpeter software version introduces advanced automation features, further optimizing Natalii’s flexographic printing operations.
The success of this project underscores the strong partnership between Natalii and Nilpeter. Natalii’s owner, Artur Nowaczyk, shared his satisfaction, stating:

“This investment is a significant step towards ensuring we remain at the forefront of the industry with the best possible technology. Nilpeter listens to our needs and works closely with us to develop solutions that help us improve efficiency while maintaining the high quality our customers expect. This upgrade is an excellent example of how together we can expand our production capabilities – and the solution works absolutely perfectly.”
